Mission Statement
NeanderThoughts is an independent publication launched in August 2025 acting as a home for thoughtful, independent analysis on UK and Global politics. We believe in elevating young voices, challenging assumptions, and making current affairs accessible without partisanship.
In recent years, honest journalism has been limited. Journalists are often burdened by editorial pressure, the fear of backlash, or the commercial priorities of their publications. Stories go unpublished, not because they lack merit, but because they challenge the wrong interests.
At NeanderThoughts, we believe in something different. We give our writers the space to speak freely, grounded in truth, not influence.
Additionally, our aim is to make journalism more accessible for young people. They have a lot to say, and they have the capacity to add enormous value to public discourse. However, they have nowhere to share their thoughts. We hope to find talented young writers - and thinkers - and give them a platform which will amplify their voices.
Editorial Values
We are committed to factual accuracy and ensuring diverse representation. Our writers hold views from all corners of the political spectrum, offering readers a balanced mix of perspectives, rather than partisan journalism. Although they may not always agree, they share a belief in honest, and engaging reporting or storytelling.
Who We Are
NeanderThoughts was founded by a group of young political thinkers and writers who felt traditional media was outdated and left too many voices unheard. Our team is comprised of young professionals, as well as experts.
